The Tuscan tanning district opens its doors to the future by welcoming the students of the Arturo Checchi institute in Fucecchio for a special workshop on the world of leather goods. The aim is to create a bridge between the local industrial fabric, young people and local institutions. An interactive way to hand down know-how and preserve, through the generations, the prestigious role that the local leather, bag and footwear manufacturing industry plays in the world.
Thanks to the collaboration between Consorzio Toscana Manifatture, Conceria Sirte, Anna Cloud Bags, Dynamic Innovation Lab and Gea Factory, the realisation of this workshop was made possible.
Theory of design
A unique opportunity for the young people who, by participating, had the opportunity to experience the production process of a leather bag. From trend research to hand stitching, the young people immersed themselves in the working reality to follow their passions.
The event was created by Gea Factory, the first Benefit Company in the leather district, thanks to the collaboration with the Toscana Manifatture Consortium.
